Chapstick?????

Well, I was hoping that the terrible two's would wait until two, but it HAD to come early (as you can see from the previous post)! I have no idea what the deal with chapstick is, but both of my kids like(d) to eat it! When Abbie was a toddler, chapstick was her choice of snack and now it looks like it might be something Bryce likes too! The picture doesn't really show how messy he got, trying to get a picture of Bryce when he knows he is being naughty is next to impossible, but the chapstick ended up getting in between all of his teeth, up his nose, and on his face! If I had to sum up or put my day on a scale of 1 - 10, I would have to give today a 9 (a 10 would've been the other day when Bryce decided he wanted to through Abbie's clothes in the toilet!)

Bryce's 2 step plan on how to annoy your sister!

Step 1: Grab a toy - any toy and if there isn't one near by go and find one! Throw it OVER the gate. A solid toy works best - it seems to go a further distance!
Step 2: Make sure it "hits" the target!

The target??? Your sister of course! Wow, looks like I have just a little mess to clean up!

Let's Go Racin' Boys!!!

Well, as some of you know..... NASCAR is back in full swing at the Jacobsen house. Friday to Sunday is usually spent with our TV being tuned in to either Fox, SPEED, or ESPN. Bryce decided that he kinda likes the sound of a stock car and found it even more entertaining that he can mock a race at home. If you look closely, it looks like the blue tractor is in the lead!

Hannah Montana Mania!

Today I wanted to give Abbie a treat. I got three tickets to the Hannah Montana 3D movie and told her that she could pick a friend to take along. She didn't even hesitate and chose her friend Olivia. The girls just LOVED the movie and it showed by their singing and dancing! Amazing how Abbie can remember every word to every Hannah/Miley song but can't remember a thing that she did at school the minute she gets off the bus! The day started with letting them picking where they wanted to eat and they chose pizza in the food court. As a mom, I was secretly hoping that maybe they would pick TGI Fridays - my personal favorite! After the movie, we had to visit Club Libby Lou. I treated the girls to a friendship charm bracelet and they picked out what charms they wanted to start on each others bracelet. Both girls were very excited to get their bracelets started and couldn't stop talking about how they can add to their charm bracelet and pick out birthday or christmas presents for each other now.

Ladies night out

Last weekend we had a scrapbook overnighter at Haworth Center. My mom and I , along with our mother-daughter friends Grace and Sue, enjoyed a night of pampering. A night without kids was really enjoyed by Sue and myself. I am sure that I can also speak for Sue when I say THANKS to our husbands for setting aside time in their busy schedule to take care of the kids for two days so we could have some much needed fun!
